Oceanic Research Lab is a conceptual project. Its Logic comes from the site studying and two living systems' behaviors. The two living systems that were analyzed are Sea Anemone and Venus flytrap. The user groups are artists and visitors who mimic the living system behaviors and as they are moving, they trigger the space.

Vector Drawings Based on Living Systems Behaviors

  • Blooming: Forces diverge from a point. The forces are more condensed near the origin and begin to enlarge and spread as the forces diverge from the origin.

  • Tearing: As the force flare, they begin to either disperse and vanish or the forces converge and condense as tension increases.

  • Twisting: Occurs when there is an unbalance of forces. As more force is applied on one side it makes the forces twist on themselves. Differences in forces can vary from 20% stronger to 100%.

  • Enclosing: When Twisting is greater than 80% the forces twist on themselves and create a condition of enclosing.

  • Devouring: Forces that are enclosed are consumed in order to create larger masses of forces.

  • Dividing: Forces grow in different directions branching out creating more links.

  • Contracting: Forces with greater magnitude rotate constraining weaker forces inward.
