The Miami Beach Center for Art and Performance reimagines the relationship between public space and artistic expression on Lincoln Road. Designed as an open-concept architectural marvel, this theater blurs boundaries, inviting a vibrant visual dialogue between performers, patrons, and the bustling pedestrian life outside.
Oceanic Research Lab is a conceptual project. Its Logic comes from the site studying and two living systems' behaviors. The two living systems that were analyzed are Sea Anemone and Venus flytrap.
The user groups are artists and visitors who mimic the living system behaviors and as they are moving, they trigger the space.
This project is a hybrid building that integrates three interrelated programs: dwelling, research space, and exhibition for a seismologist. The design is expressed as interconnected volumes that unify these functions within a single architectural form.
Guided Tranquility is a chess pavilion at 75 ft elevation in Sutro Baths, San Francisco, designed to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Composed of nine cubes, the pavilion uses natural light and framed views of Cypress trees, the ocean, and the earth to guide visitors through the space. A diagonal 45° entrance and pathway lead players to different seating and playing zones, encouraging meditation, reflection, and enjoyment of the surroundings.
